Meditation Classes

Every Monday at 7-8pm Luke will be hosting a 'Relaxation Yoga' class. During this class we will be working with pranayama (the breath), savasana (relaxation), very simple/non-weight bearing yoga asanas (postures) and then finish with a guided meditation practice.

This class is completely suitable for all experience levels (including complete beginners), body types and fitness levels. This is a very light class in a ‘no expectations’ environment - you don’t need to be able to touch your toes, you don’t need to be a certain figure, and you don’t have to keep up with the rest of the class.

Luke’s ethos is one of inclusivity. Yoga should not be viewed as a gym class, but as a mind and body practice.

Cost: £10 per person, pre-booking required

Monthly, on a Thursday from 8:15-9:15pm, Monkia hosts a Sound Bath meditation using singing bowls and gongs. 

“Bathing in the sounds of bowls and gongs is a unique and effective way of deep relaxation. The sound of bowls lowers blood pressure, aids digestive processes and calms the nervous system reducing internal tension. The vibrations of the bowls and gongs put the body and mind into a meditative state. We open our subconscious, hidden emotions, let go of anxiety and stress. For a moment, we detach ourselves from the "here and now" to catch a distance from daily tasks” - Monika
